I should mention.........the temp was NOT 90 degrees. The temps was ~65 at the time of the run, but it was humid.

I didn't even do a burn out on the last run.........the previous run the rim spum inside of the tire because the car sat for 2 hours and the temp dropped 15 degrees. I didn't think too check it until I was blocked in. It dropped from 15psi to 9psi. I was uber cautious on the next pass (with 16-17psi) just in case. You're right though.

Edit....It also hurt me because there wasn't enough heat in the tires to keep from spinning going into 2nd and 3rd (it even chirped 4th). It's fine though...........I know there is a lot left in the car with a good 60' and not lifting to shift.

I think I checked out 3 of your runs you were getting faster with every run I left after your 13.3 run. I thought you were AJ at 1st but noticed your tailights were not tinted like his.

Do you pull the brake fuse? The other Zs were in the 14's.

I didn't.....I was still just trying to get a feel for the new components. There is lots of racing time and weather here now.............I will keep getting myself and the car dialed in and hope for 12's. I will pull the fuse next time now that I am comfortable with how the car launches with the stupid light OS single. The 2nd to last run......I think it was a 13.58 or something......the speedo was over 120 and tach never dropped below 6500rpm because the welds were spinning inside the MT's. It was a worrisome pass......the car had a nasty shudder when I got off the throttle and braked.

I was the quickest Z/G there by over a 1/2 second easy. It was a bit slick out there...........I guess because of the rain we got on Thursday. It washed a lot of the rubber and vht away from the previous weekend.

P.S. I only ran twice after 5:30 .

First time at the drags for me on friday
got about 12 runs in with my fat little 08 ZR (w bolt ons)
and nearly a full tank of gas ( I didnt plan very well)

best was 13.912 @ 100.45 mph 60' @2.12 and just a tad quick on r/t

not bad for a first try . . .

it was fri nite drags, so probably 80 to start at 6pm and 70+ @ 10pm

Yeah man my granddad was driving. Im sure you could tell by him taking off on the second yellow light lol. He did pull a 1.9 60' though. I told him to try shifting but he wasnt comfortable with it so he left it in D. The gold max had the 3.5 in it and it was in safe mode because of 12 engine codes most of which have been taken care of. The car has a low 14 second run in it as it sits. Once its modded and tuned it should be able to do a mid 13. Plus I let my girl race it all night and she doesnt have much experience.

I did have the DR's with me but couldnt find you.

After dumping $3.5k into my car I finally hit 12's... just.

1. Year and Model (trim) of car = 2008 Grand touring
2. Auto or 6spd = 6spd
3. If you were running Street tires, Drag Radials or Slicks = DR's (Hoosier R6's, road race tires)
4. What type of Turbo or SuperCharger kit you are running = N/A
5. What Shot of Nitrous = N/A
6. If your motor is Built or not. = not

Mods: Bolt-ons + tune (I assume a tune is considered a bolt-on?)

Thanks to APH for installing all the stuff.

That's good enough for me. Time to move on...

Mannn I am jealous of that DA, but hopefully by Nov we can get some of that here in the mid-atlantic. Your car is absolutely charging through the second 1/8th.

With that kind of trap speed (and 300.5whp) you could go 12.7 on drag radials without breaking a sweat.

That was my best run of 2 (still bogged a little off the line), busted axles on 3rd pass.
