Aux input jack for 07 350z touring?!
I'll be picking up my 2007 350z touring in a couple of days and one thing i forgot to think about what the aux input jack.
i have an suv that I'm driving and plugging in my phone to the aux jack is one of the first things i do every time i get in and start the car.
now, I'm wondering if the 2007 350z touring W/BOSE has a simple input jack?
I'm not looking for features like being able to see titles, genres, etc on my bose stereo screen.
I just want quality, sound and music that comes from my iphone 4 so i don't have to make new CDs every time i download new songs.
I want the best cheapest way possible.
Its winter soon and i have to invest on a winter set of tires and wheels and getting a new head unit isn't a good idea either
and yes, I have read all the posts about aux jacks with the search function but it seems like all of them are for the 350z model years that are 06 and older.
thanks for the help guys=]

There is no AUX in a stock touring stereo. Your best solution is to pickup an iPod adapter - it'll cost you about $120. PA15-NIS - I've been using it for a few weeks with no complaints whatsoever. You can do the install yourself and will take you an hour or two (very very detailed guides available).
The PA15-NIS will work 100% with an 07 Bose - I installed it on my 08 Bose. It'll come with one cable - an iPod cable, but you can buy and use an aux cable instead (one end will be different than the traditional aux cable). If you decide to go with this route, let me know if you need any help installing it.
Imo, it was worth it. Excellent quality, easy to use, and charges your iPhone. You can choose to implement the titles/genres features or not. Steering wheel controls work, bluetooth phone works, everything still works (except sat radio).

I picked it up locally. It cost about $30 more than the online price, but I wanted something to do Saturday afternoon! You can put in your zip code here to find local retailers:
http://usaspec.com/locator.html
Online price is about $120 + shipping. Oh, and when you're installing it, take a note of something:
The rear of the head unit has 4 wires, so two columns / two rows: A1, A2, B1, B2. You'll probably be wiring A2 and B1 (I did). You'll see what I mean when you're installing it =].

There's a much cheaper option than spending $150 on an iPod adapter, if you don't need it to be iPod specific. If you want the extra features, then the PA15-NIS is great. If you just want to plug your headphone jack into a cable and play music by controlling it from your phone/iPod/etc, you can pick up a WIRED FM Modulator for like $40. Don't get a wireless one, they usually sound awful.

I'm thinking about buying the PA15-NIS adapter but I've been running into conflicts because my head unit DOES NOT have a SAT button. It does have a CAT button which is giving me an indication that I may be able to control it via that button. Anyone have the same issue?

That's great. Sad to see that the highly rated audio/video store I went to didn't know that and I had to be their secretary and do all the research. Are you able to control your iPod from the steering wheel and head unit?

Update: I was able to get the USA-SPEC device installed and it worked like a charm. The only downfall to it is that it takes a few seconds to switch between songs.

It says that all the stereos are compatible. However, an eBay compatibility listing says otherwise. To be safe, you could always call the USA-Spec Technical support line at (626) 336-3836.

PA15-NIS is the best one for the 350Z. How do I know? I had the installers try the others they thought were compatible and they failed miserably. The only thing that I don't like about it is that moving up and down on the steering wheel takes about a 2 second hold to change songs but is instant when changed from the head unit.
