Default What rims to drift on...

Hey all, I've been getting deeper into this "drifting" thing and I've got a dilemma. I drive around on the 19" te37 knock offs which look really good on my car but when used tires cost $70+ per tire, can't afford to drift on them. I have a pair of stock 18s that I rock just at the track but it looks ugly I'm trying to find a set of inexpensive 18" rims with a HUGE lip and aggressive offset to daily drive and drift on. I'm looking to spend <$700 for all 4 rims so I won't feel too bad if/when I mess them up on the track. Lemme know/see what you drift on and some suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I don't like looking at vendor pictures of what they could look like on a similar car, I like seeing them on actual people's cars. Sorry for asking.

the mustang reps are the most aggressive wheel with the most lip you're going to find for that price.

What all do you have done to your z? Drifting a z isn't cheap. Im really on the fence about getting a track car and bringing the z back to a comfortable daily. If I sell all my "drift" parts I could probably afford a complete 240...

coilovers, and thats about it, lol. its a really fun/easy car to drift but i like daily'ing it too much to make it into the drift car i want

if you just plan on going to events to slide around and burn up a few tires and thats it, a z can be a great and relatively cheap car to drift.

but i want someting that i can tandem with and beat up and not care about it, which is why im using a 240.

^This

Theres a lot of inexpensive wheels to drift with in good sizes and offsets, mb battles, xxr 527, rota grids, boosts, stang reps, varrstoens, etc...

^ this. If i get more serious ill get a s13 to beat on and tandem but for now im happy to just slide around and burn up tires.

I just find oem wheels on CL. find someone with crappy tires so that u can get it on the low.
