Default Help my with my exhaust setup

So I just recently purchased a stune gismo muffler and mid pipe with resonator,

everything besides that is stock, headers,cats,y-pipe.

This setup is extremely low for my likings, was looking to getting something a big more aggressive with sound, keeping the nice deep vq sounds but louder.

My two questions are,

1) Is it true the oem ypipe restricts a lot and is a must switch to an aftermarket one, if so which is the best.

2)Will deleting the resonator on the mid pipe give me a louder sound and also make me loose a bit of power, is it something I should do?

Depending on your year Z the de y pipe is more restrictive than the HR. The HR is more restrictive than aftermarket due to piping size. I personally do not believe y pipe will increase noise as you want. It may but i doubt it. I do know for a fact that removing the resonator will create alot of rasp on the S tune exhaust but it wont loose power. I reccomend two options.
1. Sell it theyre going for a premium in good condition and get something you like.
2. Remove the oem resonator and replace it with a vibrant resonator that is the same 3 in size and 15 inches long. I ran this particular setup and it increased the sound volume and killed the rasp. Youtube search nismo s tune Frankenstein. I have since replaced this system with tomei expreme single. But still miss the s tune alot.

replace stock cats with art pipes... will give you the volume you want and enhance the sound
