Default Small timing chains - normal play?

Hi doing the main timing chain on my VQ35HR (08 zed) and I noticed both small chains have some play in them. Is this normal?

When I rotate everything the slack tightens up and loosens. I am assuming the tensioner are pressure driven and that's the reason why I can compress them?

I took a couple videos.

Drivers side

passenger side
Like i said I can rotate the cams and slack does tighten up briefly. Just wondering if this is normal for the VQ35HR?

THANKS!

your tensioners will pressurize and stiffen up as a function of oil pressure...

I doubt this is your case as it looks fairly clean from the vids, but the timing chain can stretch and deform if the motor is driven hard and the oil is never changed. More common so on an FI engine when they are abused.

The chains do tighten up as the engine is rotated but I am a little worried about them being so loose even without the oil pressure tightening the tensioner.
