Default Dent on car from rock- how much to fix? Opinions please

So I was washing my car and found this .75 inch dent by my passenger's side fender. Its pushed into the body and took out paint. I go on the 710 for work so I think it's a rock from a truck.

Anyway the OCD in me wants my car as good looking as possible so a few questions....

1) how much will this think take to paint?

2). In your opinion will I need a new fender or can I just get it repainted?

3). can an expert dent puller be able to smooth it out to normal and pop the dent out?

Anyway attached is a YouTube vid and a few pics to help you help me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJrmBWS1lC8

fyi: I peeled out the pain so that's why some of the pics have more paint compared to the other pics.

That sucks man Looks like a really good pellet/bb shot or even a slingshot ding. You're probably looking around $500-600 for a decent job. Includes prep, repair, paint and blending.

For the most accurate quote, you should just swing by a body shop

Entire panel must be painted: 6 hours or $600.

economics wise, I would just use touch up paint and be done with it. If it were a show car, that's one thing but a DD.. no way I would pay 500+ or even close to repair that. That's just me. wait till you get more damage to the car altogether then get it repaired some other time. that's what i would do

Hmmmm sage, perhaps you've got a point. Maybe take it to a dent repair and then touch it up?

I wonder how much is a complete car respray at a reputable shop (done right of course).

taking it to a dent repair and touching it up is exactly what I would do.
If you do that, make sure you buy a little bottle of clearcoat to prevent rust infiltration. If you go to a bmw or mercedes dealer, they sell clearcoat in little bottles just like touch up paint

to bad you dont live in MS, i own a body shop and thats a easy easy fix, i see this all day long. if you was to bring it to me i would charge you 250, and thats using dupont clear and standox base....and i would have it back to you in the same day if you droped it off in the morning. But thats just how i run things, im not sure how the rest of the world is.....and yes the paint would match.

^^^ +1 I work at a reputable Chevy dealership body shop and if you ask abt a full repaint at our shop they tell you 4k-6k before even writing u a estimate. repaints done right arent cheap.
But that fender could be fixed for.... 225-325 w/o blending the door. that color shouldnt have a difficult color match with a good painter. Get it fixed and done right...

It would have been much cheaper if they aimed at the Z Emblem. lol

But sorry about what had happened. You could try to take out the dent using paintless dent removal, and then find a local deatiler to touch up, wetsand, and polish that spot to blend in the color for about $50.

Hmmm strange. I mean I was heading on the 710 to work and I heard a LOUD noise, so that would mean if its NOT a rock and its a bb gun of some sorts, then that means someone was aiming at cars???????? Jeeeeeeeez

A rock hit my roof on the highway and it started to rust pretty quick... I got my roof repainted for $300.

Edit: That really really looks like some kind of BB. It looks almost perfectly round....
