Default Front Bumper lights (switchback LED)

Tried doing a search, couldn't find a thread on this specifically. I just switched out my front reflectors with iJDMTOY's switchback LED light versions. The fitment was great, and I love how it's just a straight beam of light and you don't see any dots.

It was a bit of work to install. I spent roughly 4 hours doing the job taking my time. I've attached an install video if anyone is curious what's involved in doing this install.

I have those same lights installed on my 08. These lights are way to bright to be used at night imo. I thought about it but after seeing them at night there blinding. I use mine as DRLs (in day only) and they shut off when my headlights are turned on. If I knew how, I would dim them down when the headlights were on but not skilled enough to do that. My turn signals just flash amber when the DRL's are off, in your video you said you couldn't get them to just flash amber. Not sure why.

I think it's because I didn't hook up the DRL wires. The module needs to be powered up and after it see the turn signals flash it will switch to amber. I tried power up the unit and the turn signal together for day time applications (with DRL) and it would just flash white. I wanted to keep the ability to "black out" the vehicle when I turn the lights off. And without a proper wiring schematic and no extra product I didn't want to experiment with different combinations of wiring.

Ya I realize the module needs to be powered up at all time and I could put another relay in to feed the turn off wire making it think the head lights are on during the day, then when the headlight turns on the relay shuts off. But at that points that's more points of failure then I'm willing to deal with.

Thanks, hope you like how the wiring job was done.

I want to say it's for 2006-2009 only. I would check iJDMTOY to see if they have a solution for your year.

I think these are dimmable from the manufacturer now:

BEFORE

AFTER

I just installed these fairly recently also. They look great. IJDM does have a version for 03 bumpers but I believe they stick out where as the 06+ fit pretty much OEM
