Default vortec supercharge leaking...

hi all


my freind have his 2005 Z and he just go for FI by vortec supercharge + headers + Exhaust sys ...



and his supercharge keep leaking oil

he changed it three times since last month

but every time its leak againe ...

he can't drive his Z like 5 days without this problem...
I think it because he didn't have any mannagment unit ..... Am I Right



please some help..

Mine leaks oil too. Just had it sent back to Vortech to see if its in good order. When I put it back on it still leaks.

thats mean its from the super itself...!!

Is there oil in you intercooler pipes ? If so....the seal in the Supercharger is bad .

Mine leaks oil from somewhere under the blower. Can't exactly tell where but next week sometime I want to take it out again and check it out.

What about checking your oil feed or return lines??? Maybe they just aren't clamped tight.

i had that problem with the procharger...it could be the bolts that hold the plate to the motor that the blower attaches to. i didnt use silicone on some of them because i thought they were blind bolts...they actually went deeper into the motor then originalluy thought... mine was a simple fix..i hope yours is too ...good luck...

Most likely the clamp on the return line isnt tight

I think that all Vortech units sent to the U.A.E are the models that leak because you guys have plenty of oil anyway. What's a gallon of gas cost there now?

Need to verify where the leak is coming from. I have a leak and believe its coming from the valve cover drivers side..Can be confusing to identify as coming from the blower. Replaced the gasket 2x and still leaks some..
