This is not true. If done right it will never leak. I have done may installs with teflon tape, and have never had a leak.

Thats cool, glad it worked for you but im not wrong:

TFE is recommended for pipe threads carrying
water, steam, LP and natural gas, refrigerants,
solvents, caustics, dilute acids, oils and diesel
fuel. Withstands temperatures to 500°F (260°C)
and pressures to 10,000 PSI (Liquid), 2000 PSI
(gas).

yes you are wrong, bc wrapped properly and torqued, teflon tape will not leak.

that doesnt mean that you cant use liquid TFE or ultra-grey as a thread sealer as well, but to say that tape will always leak is incorrect.

Whatever works for you, I go by what the manufacturer of the product reccomends....

sorry been gone for a while, the car is finished and i can confidently say that the car has no leaks and runs fine after getting a mild street tune. the car hasnt been dynoed yet because my stock clutch is pretty much gone. when i go at it and then get out of the car you can smell the clutch alot!!! i also have some bucking when im at higher rpms or cruising. i did some searching and people seem to think its the result of a pressure plate going bad.

I also would need some advice on what flywheel to use, I'm between a JWT lightweight or the act prolight setup, i bought an ACT 6-puck sprung clutch for a good price so i couldnt pass up on it. just don't know what flywheel to run with the setup

^^ nothing wrong with the ACT Fly (lighter than JWT)or the JWT fly... benefit of the JWT is the replaceable friction plate so less expensive in the future if you need to "resurface" Both are a little noisy but will do the trick.

Will the lighter ACT benefit me at the track or is it better to go with one that's alil heavier like the ACT streetlight for the dragstrip
