600whp Vortech

Dunno yet ....I've spoken to Carl at 928 Motorsports about upgrading the bearings and he said the oem bearings you get from Vortech are as good as it gets; the bigger blowers have higher rpm ratings also because they have bigger bearings....and Threads has my YSi, so I'm just going to lay back for a bit and think of my options; perhaps I'll watch and see how you and Thread's builds go and take it from there...

Well I am not looking to stress out any aspect of my build and am over building it for reliability... I will be very happy with 500whp or so and if I get more (considering my 5AT will limit me) then that is just a bonus. I am still up in the air between the T Trim and the 928 but leaning towards the T Trim at this point.

Try to think cog belt in inches (overall length) and then think width - 8 rib. There are many products that use these belts that are not automotive applications.
Then do searches for them. You wont find a part number just thrown out there. Takes a little R&D.
Also they are all not made of rubber. (hint)

We also offer those bearings as part of a complete rebuild kit, or as part of a rebuild service if you send your supercharger in to be rebuilt.

On the cogged drive belt - great for short duration use, like Race car. But cogged belts will shorten your service interval because they set up a pounding noise in the system that wears bearings quickly. We use cogged drive ourselves on our race car with V7YSi. But on a street car, I would favor a 8 or 10-rib multi-V belt for less maintenance and longer bearing life.

Its been a while...but running with a Ysi (non-billet) with stock piping....and upgraded intercooler to Treadstone TR1045 intercooler (rated to 860hp) so that I could still barely fit it under my modified stock crash bar, still with the mondo bypass valve fitted onto the intercooler....also currently using 1st gen CJM twin pump running E85...
Also upgraded to standalone AEM infinity EMS ; got a base tune done at tuner but had belt slip so I have to get back there for final tune and better traction control tune...I did track the car and its so much smoother with the standalone EMS, but it was pretty scary with a old set of tires non-track tires and barely passable traction control tuning...
I'll update after I get final numbers, not sure when that'll be as my car is mostly a garage queen now lol....
