actually, from comparing photos, I think the gtspec is not instead of the m brace, its in addition to. Cuz comparing these 3 photos, I think the gtspec brace sits right in the middle of the car, as oppose to the mbrace which sits in the rear.

ok i just sent that rusty guy a PM. In the meantime, I found the only m brace alternative. It's by Ultra Racing, and its a direct fit. My question that I need to ask Tony from MD, is if this will work.

goddamn, i finally found a picture of the new Q50 muffler. And while it may be a direct connect to the tdx2, tony wasn't kidding, i really am going to have to remove the m brace. Even the ultra racing will get in the way. It's that crossbar man

For reference, look at the muffler in the tdx2 here. You see how the two outtake pipes are longer? They can pass over the mbrace. The new, longer muffler can't.

by minimum you mean do the minimum spacing to keep it from hitting? I guess i would have to look at the already lowest point on my car and keep it in line with that

Yes, lower it only as much as you need to clear bc of ground clearance issues is what Im guessing he meant.

I will be "spacing" my M brace this weekend for clearance and can let you know how it goes, may just use 1 nut instead of a bunch of washers. We will see, a little trial and error.

do i have to buy longer bolts now too? guess the only way to know is to take one out and measure bolt length vs distance needed. would be nice if such esoteric info was on the nissan parts page.

i dont know, when i put on my TDX2 it came with the spacers to drop it down. you could email or call Tony at MotorDyne and see what size the spacers are

if i had to guess i would say between 1/4 and 3/8

interesting. i don't think mine did, but circling back with him would be a good idea. thanks!

edit: Just realized that the default tdx2 spacers wouldnt be enough as the the q50 muffler is longer.
