Cruise control 35th anniversary
I couldn't figure out which section to put this in, and can't find another thread on it, so forgive me if I'm messing anything up....I'm new here.
I have a '05 35th anniversary, but it doesn't have cruise control. I started searching for options to install aftermarket CC, and found that EVERY 35th anniversary I find has it factory installed and it is never listed as an optional feature. That really confused me ; I immediately thought:
A)someone replaced the steering wheel, removing the CC
B)CC was an option that is not included on my car
or
C) I got screwed and mine isn't a 35th anniversary edition.
My question is, does anyone know if CC came standard on the 35th anniversary?

So....after reading and checking what you guys have said, I think you're right. Red line at 6600, cloth seats, etc.
Now I get to fight with a used car dealer
Any advice on how to handle a situation like this? I'm pretty pissed....that's a huge price difference.

Funny thing is, they still have the advertisement listing this vin number up in their archives showing it as a 35th anniversary. I just called them...hoping they'll call back with at least some remorse....

Unfortunately you should have done your homework prior to purchase. Hopefully, the dealer will do something for you but I doubt you will be satisfied. How long have you had the car? If more than a few days, I think you are out of luck getting any money returned. Most Nissan dealers don't have a clue what model a Z happens to be. I doubt any used car dealer would have any idea what the car actually is. The dealer could have took the car in trade believing it to be an anniversary model.

I know I'll have a case since the sales paperwork clearly said "35th anniversary edition." I called them a few minutes ago to try to work it out....hopefully we can avoid any extra hassle. I hate court.

If it's been almost a year since you bought the car I don't think that will work to your favor. If the car I posted above is the car you bought then there should have been 2 dead give aways that it isn't a 35th:
1) they weren't offered in that color
2) no Brembo brakes
On one hand, you should have done your homework prior to buying a 35th but on the other the dealer used the factory spec sheet on their website which states the car they were selling had Brembo brakes and cruise control.

This was the first time I had ever looked at a 350z, I agree that I should have done my homework, but can't change that now Now, hopefully i can find a way for the dealership has to pay for the misrepresentation instead of me

Good luck to you. For reference, the 350Z VIN does not tell you what model it is so this sort of thing happens a lot, I'm sure. Especially with used car dealers who aren't familiar with the car. Here is an example:
http://www.autocheck.com/consumers/e...AZ34D85M605671
As you notice on the left-hand side, it lists all the models that were offered instead of one in particular.
