Just got back from the track. love these slicks. what a huge difference.. they get scary around 80mph.. i cant imagine how trapping around 100 in the 1/4 is going to feel..
newb to drag racing here, how did u peel out like that without moving? drop clutch and immediately slam on breaks while slamming on the gas? I probably will go to the track later this year for the first time since owning my car and don't want to look stupid. Also, I heard you're not suppose to peel out on street tires. Truth? Thanks.

haha im still learning as well man no worries. but from what info i've gathered, there is no need to do what i did on street tires. but a really quick burnout is okay just to knock off debris. and if i remember correctly, only the base models can do the "brake stands" without having to pull a fuse. if you don't have a base model, there is a fuse you have to pull down in the footwell area. you can search for that im sure theres a lot of info on it.

Got yeah. I think you're right about that fuse thing because the time I tried doing that my car died and I said I probably shouldn't do that again because it obviously isn't good for my car and I didn't know if I was doing it right or not. Probably would have worked had I pulled a fuse or something like you said. I have street tires but I probably just won't worry about it.
haha well drifting and road racing are too expensive for me right now. cant get enough of beating people in straight lines and the $15 test n tunes.
i was out there outrunning new 5.0 mustangs, c5 vettes, prob sh1tty drivers but still made me feel good. lol.
whenever you get everything together we'll have to take a trip down to the track. you can borrow my slicks for a couple runs
Chit I Dont drag no mo. My last Z went through 3 trans, Stock, rebuilt and CD009. Drag to me is to expensive. You break EVERYTHING if your really trying lol.
At the track did you see a red ford escort with polished wheels black guy car was loud as fawk?
nope i didnt. today my car felt real stable on the slicks. no weird noises or anything. and i guess you can say i was trying lol.
drifting is usually around 50-70 bucks just on practice events, and god knows how many sets of tires you go through. then road racing they charge like 50+ per event and you go through pads and **** like every 5 laps.. (exaggeration)
See your point. I went to the track almost every weekend. Piedmont some Rockingham and Charlotte. HATE Piedmont. But again I drove my car like it was stolen
yeah i hear ya. last time i went to rockingham it was slippery as ****. will def be better with these slicks though. piedmont has actually been pretty nice to me. dont usually spin to much there
