Course was fun.. loving these R-S3s! I somehow got my car into limp mode during the middle of my third and also during most of my fourth run but I know there was 1.5-2 seconds for me to make up from my second run..
And stupid me forgot to put the SD card back into the GoPro.. lol
Was great meeting Alvin and Don. And Andrew on g35driver.

Pretty good! The course was fun, and there were a lot more prepped cars running in the prepared and modified categories. When I left, only one car had broken into the sub 40s, but BSP and XP still had to go, so they may have got down there as well. Results will be up soon.
I got some video from my last 42.5xx run that I'll get posted up at some point.

TTOD was 38.5 by Justin in the FP/XP Subi. BSP Evo did a 39. DSP Ford doing a 39 was awesome. Two miatas in the 40's! DM Fiat did a 40 as well as XP EVO. Huge Camaro with Mary at the wheel turned a 40 too! Vic and I got to 41.0XX in my Boxster but we had a puncture and new suspension still needs some tuning. I spun across the line on my fastest run of the day! So I think maybe a 40 was in the cards.
I need to drag my 350Z out some time but its just not as much fun as the Boxster at AX events.

What are you guys policies on SUV's? What about an SUV slammed on coilovers?
In my current form I was denied from SCCA because they don't allow SUV's. I should have coilovers on once I'm back in NorCal though.

I believe THEIR policy allows SUVs, as there is one regular that goes out with his pick-up truck.

I took the 350 Z to an AX school where I was instructor once. Best thing was drifting it around the skid pad! Thats what I love about 350 Z compared to Porsche. Porsche has way too much grip to drift like the Z car. Same day I took the Z out on Infineon and was drifting turn 6 and 7. Thing I find with Z is it doesnt feel very capable when your going slow but it does the craziest cool stuff when your moving fast. I think Randy Pobst explained it best when he drove 370 Z at Laguna. Car goes into natural drift and it stays planted. Very weird experience for us Porsche drivers - rear end comes around on a Porsche it means trouble!
