7:30 is not too late. Depending on which run group I am in, I arrive between 7:30 and 8am.

You have wheel spacers with the built-in studs apparently? I don't check lugs between autox runs. At track days I certainly check between sessions, but not autox.

I assume you used a torque wrench and put them to 80-90 lbft? If so, I wouldn't worry about it. I will, however, have my jack and tools if you'd like to borrow them.

See all you Gs (and Zs) in the morning!

Nice to meet you Ken (Kenny?). You looked great out there. The oil line blockage ended up being the least of the things that went bad today though. SE5spd (I always spell his name wrong, Seas or something close to that) was working run group 5 and was going to run in group 6. A guest driver of a C6Z06 got sideways and spun out, and hit him while he was working on the track. They said he was "ok" minus a broken ankle, some dizziness, and lots of scratches. I was eating lunch watching the cars run when it happened, and I literally saw him fly in the air when the Vette' came around. I'm not convinced that that's all his injuries because the MEDIVAC came and picked him up a few minutes later. I hope he is ok and hope he or his buddies check in here with us soon.

Our ZoNC pres took her Z out for her first autox with me riding shotgun and managed to run an 81.xx, 71.xx, 66.xx, then 64.xx, which was right in line with what most of the other Zs and Gs were running. Great job today, Tiff!

I had TTOD before the accident happened with a 51.8xx, but it's certainly overshadowed by the on-track mishap. After the Medivac left, the cops were still hanging around a bunch, so I headed out. I don't know if they continued the rest of group 5 and then finished 6, though I doubt it.

Dear lord.....I hope he is well and has a speedy recovery. It's unfortunate, but mishaps happen every now and then. There was an older gentlemen last year or the year before that had his hip broken in a similar sounding incident. He is a young fella too....is he not? You have to keep your head on a swivel out there.....even then it can be unavoidable.

OMG!!! That sucks!!! I hope he's okay. When I was working in the course, I was worrying about that, too. For example: if a car lose control heading toward you, should you move? Or stay steady so the driver can move his car away from you?

BTW, what car does SE5spd drive? I am not sure if met him or not.

Its always been my opinion to hold your ground until the last possible moment...I like to give the benefit of the doubt to the driver to correct. Apparently this was a "guest" driver.....the c6Z06 is an absolute handful even with a good to great driver. Assuming this was a 1st (or close to that) attempt....it sounds like the driver had a one on one fight with the steering wheel and lost. It's a terrible shame this had to happen, but these accidents are what spurns on greater safety awareness and caution for the future. I do certainly hope he recovers quickly and is out killing cones again before the season is out.

You should GTHO of the way as quickly and as safely as possible. He drives the black HR 350Z that was staged for run group 6.

Good to hear from you bud. Man, I saw it happen, and it looked scary! I saw you fly in the air, it was nuts. I heard you didn't get in the Medivac after all, is that right?

Me too. When I left they said broken ankle and slight concussion, but they also said you had some procedure a few weeks back so were concerned about internal stuff.

Good to know you are okay. Do you drive the black 350z with blackout OEM rims?

I see. Yeah, I heard about that internal bleeding concern. I didn't see the C6 at all, but I heard it wasn't the owner driving the car. Keep us in the loop on how you're doing.

Are your ankles broken or just badly sprained/bruised, etc? Keep my fingers crossed for no internal bleeding.
