Seibon as a company SUCKS! and stay away from 350Zforums.org!!!! Read Inside
I bought my Seibon TS stlye hood from 350Zforums.org... I used them for many purchases... Well needless to say the hood was installed and of course it was hitting the strut bar, and the fitment is not that great. The hood is maybe 7 months old and it looks like SH*T It is noticably yellow, there is a stress crack where the hood latches up.
So I call Seibon and they blow me off telling me to contact the person I bought it from. So I call 350Zforums.org and tell them the problem...They give me a song and a dance on how they have to call Seibon get papers sent over and go about it the right way. So after a few days of my calls not being returned I call them again. They then send me this email which turned out to be a lie cuz I called Seibon and they said they did not write this email:
Nothing we can do. Tell him to wet sand it and re clear it, it will take
away the yellow if not severe. Keep the car out of the sun and other
extreme weather elements for long periods of time which will ultimatly
cause premature wear and damage. If parked outside a lot, get a car cover
or put stock hoood on and use the CF for shows and track use only which it
is intended for.
Tell him the owner of Wholesale Hyperformance has same issue with hoods he
has on his previous M3, and Ford SVT LIghtning. Since we have lots of sun
here, i have to reclear every 6-8 months.
Its the resin they use, along with a lot of sun exposure it has reaction
and causes yellow hue.
from the warehouse manager for Seibon ABOVE::::
============================================================ =====
I am guessing from this that there is no warranty for sunshine.. Seibon might like to hear from you because we just exhausted our attempts
So I freakin flip out now because what they are saying is that everyone that buys there products for $700.....You then have to EVERY 6 to 8 months get the hood sanded and cleared by a body shop! R they fu*king kidding me??
So now I call Seibon pissed off and tell the rep what has been going on..He said he never received anything from 350Zforums.org and does not know who they are.. Plus he said that they did not write the email I just posted above!! So he tells me he will look into it and while he is doing that check under my hood because apparently real Seibon hoods have a silver tag under the hood by the latch... I DO NOT HAVE THAT TAG....
So I call Seibon today and they tell me NOTHING they can do......So I am stuck with this piece of Sh*t hood that is yellow...
Just wanted to vent and let you guyz and galz know NOT TO DEAL WITH THESE 2 COMPANIES.......
Any comments are welcome.......

Sounds like your beef should be primarily with IPDG (no surprise there). Also, it doesn't surprise me that the resin they use in their hoods yellows in the sun. Most plastics do over time, it's almost impossible to prevent. I'd follow the advice about the car cover, whoever wrote it. Also, for what it's worth, I have a Seibon VT hood, and no tag by the latch.....not sure where that info came from.

that why i paint my CF. As far as they hit the strut bar, did you have any after market plenum? spacer by any chance?
btw, i bought my Seibon VT from intenspower.com and they do have the silver tag next to the latch.

I bought a set of XERD test pipes from 350zforums.org OR SO I THOUGHT. Turns out the pipes I received did not have the brackets or any XERD logo. I was a bit worried and asked the site over e-mail about this and was informed that 2-3 months ago they stopped putting the brackets on the pipes.
Well then I ask why there was no logo and there response was that it is 5 month old inventory, well I'm thinking SHOULDNT IT HAVE THE BRACKETS THEN? There next excuse was that they use to make them with AND with out the bracket.
Naturally I contacted XERD directly and was informed all XERD pipes have the brackets and ALL with the exception of the very first have the XERD logo. Obviously I was sold fakes, but no matter how much evidence I provided proving there fakness the site had another excuse.
After reading countless posts about this site I would advise people to stay away from it. Also after threatening to contact my credit card company about the fake product they offered me a refund even though the pipes have been installed.
I'm sure if you contact your bank or credit card company and tell them you were sold something other than what you paid for you can get your money back, I talked to a representative from my bank and was informed i could get my money so i recommend you do the same.

I dont know the time limit, give your bank/credit card company a call. Mine is only a month old, but im sure if you give them the story it shouldnt matter how old it is, I mean they told you it was one thing when it wasnt just b/c it took you 6 months to find out doesnt change the fact that you were mis-lead

I had bad experience with 350zforums.org or IDPG before as well. Nismo replica side skirts "guaranteed" to fit 100%, but it was 2 inches too short.. haha, how the hell can my body shop fix that? so I tried to contact them and send back, got delay after delay. Finally got their address and sent back. Waited for 1 month to credit, nothing happened, even though they said they have already credit it.
Finally I contacted my Chase Visa and filled out a dispute. Got my money back in 3 days (partial). I will NEVER buy from them again!!!

I caught them in lie after lie, I had XERD on AIM and was telling him everything 350zfourms told me. Once caught it one lie they start another, I wouldnt have been so mad if they just said "sorry we didnt send you XERD pipes" but they had to do anything they can to try to cover there ***..... sad....

I am currently having an issue with them. I ordered an engine torque dampner and never received it. I e-mailed them and they said that it was returned to them opened and ups stopped the shipment. They replied later and said it will be sent out tomarrow, well that was August 25. Still no product. It sucks but I have my fingers crossed.
