Default UTEC on completely stock Z?

Any gains to be expected? if so, in what region?

Many were seeing gains around 10hp with a good ECU reflash so I would imagine the gains would be similar with the potential to get a little more with the UTEC if tuned on a dyno by a good tuner.

With a good tune, you should expect to pick up a good 8+hp peak with the UTEC. Mid-range power is where a flash or UTEC primarly helps on a stock car, and people normally gain 10+hp and 10-12+ torque in the middle RPM's.

Usually you'll get nicer trq and power gains in the mid-range, and about 8whp at the peak...assuming you are bone stock. Best of luck.
