Not to mention, I doubt it will clear the spindle. It would require a spacer of at least 10mm

I believe the 10.5 +15 would extend about one inch further in the front than what I have right now. Do your front wheels extend beyond the fender? What tire size do you run?

Thanks!
It does stick out a little from the front fender, id say roughly 10mm ish but that all depends on how low you are and your camber. ive seen someone else run same spec wheels but didnt stick out as much because of his camber setting. I ran 275/35 -18r all around

Also, Terrasmak is right. i doubt you'd be able to clear the spindle with a 10 +38. There was someone who had to run a 3mm spacer to clear the front spindle on a 18x11 +17 wheel.

I am on HSD coilovers. Not sure an exact number. Originally I believe we dropped the front an inch and the rear an inch and a quarter. With the new wheels we kept the rear the same and lowered the front about another half inch. I do rub up front slightly. Full stiff setting up front.

Now just have to figure out how much rake I want with the suspension

17s have less weight so less rotating mass= faster off a line. Enjoy your weekend, Super.

haha.. wish i could... at work so pulling 12hr shifts, 7 days a week..

7lbs total less on each side on the front... and 1.5 lb less on each rear corner... I've surprised quite a few 370z owners in my club with the gains i have

Hey everyone!

I am wondering what the best RPF1 setup is for autocross / tracking in your experience. I know there will probably be some conflicting responses.

I am switching to 18" RPF1 wheels and my current 19" Volk setup is 10.5" 285 rear and 9.5" 265 front and I have had good handling with a bit of understeer. I want more neutral handling in my Z so I am thinking of going with a square setup (also to rotate tires).

It seems that most people run 10.5" rear and 9.5" front +15 offsets with the RPF1s. I am open to any setup including 10.5" square but I am worried about the front wheels sticking out too far (one inch further than my current wheels). Also, I am not sure what the difference in unsprung weight vs. traction with greater tire width would be if I ran 9.5" square with 275s as opposed to 10.5" square with wider tires. I also don't know if there is a clearance issue with 9.5" in the rear with spacers because it doesn't seem like a popular setup for the RPF1s, correct me if I am wrong.

I am also pretty set on 18" wheels.

Thoughts?

You worry too much. 10.5 +15 on 275/30 fronts will work with a roll. 18x9.5s are lighter, jhc weighed his at 17 lbs iirc. My 18x10.5 +15 weighed in at 19 and 20 lbs. The weights advertised are not exact from Enkei. I have owned several sets of RPF1s and each time I weighed them brand new, they varied +/- 1 lb from Enkei's quote. Every tire will weigh differently as well, Tirerack usually have tire weights posted. Go back and look through this thread, most people have their wheel and tire specs posted.

Me and a couple others run 10.5 RPF1 up front with a 285/35-18 , a 275 is easier to fit

mr. sparco and terrasmak, thank you for the responses. I found some more pictures of 10.5" square RPF1 setups and really like the look. I don't know why I thought they would stick out so much. I think I am going to go with this setup.

If you don't mind me asking, what would you have to do to fit 285s? I already have rolled front fenders and no drop in suspension yet.

thanks!
