This^^ is the go-to setup. 18x9.5 and 10.5 +15 (both F&R). Or 9.5 squared WHEELS (tires staggered if you have VDC) works as well. Note: if you lower it, you may need to roll the rear guards. If you prefer not to do this, go with wheels in the +22 and up range.

so 245 and 265 I should go for 18x9.5 only options are +15 and +30 they’re both concave. I read a lot of places saying it’s stretched on 245 and have read a lot saying it doesn’t

let me rephrase. I have 265 245 want to know if 18x9.5 will fit properly on the 245 without it being stretched. I have read that it should fit. And also if I go this route 15 offset on all 4?

New to membership, lurking for years. Really like the TS-5 18x8.5/18x9.5 wheels and see that they are all +38 offset.. I have the minimal drop lowering springs- under 1" or right near. Can't recall brand at the moment. Anyways, been searching for hours on offset calculators and so on. Can anyone guide me or from experience tell me the issue with +38 offsets. I was reading that It would require wheel spacers. 15mm correct? Anyone have pics of this +38 and spacer setup? Just trying to find some certainty and will order. Just frustrating as the RPF or whatever wheels that everyone seems to like are of no appeal to me. Love the classic 5 spoke and open to other options but thus far TS-5's have me sold but I don't want the car to look bad. To add, I saw that it was mentioned this thread is mainly for the Enkei racing line but don't know where else to post. Apologize and/or thanks in advance guys.

Aesthetically, +38 is going to have the wheels and tires look sunken in and not flush with the fenders.
@MicVelo will chime in with a more scientific explanation concerning scrub radius, etc.

@ORNG350 An offset above +30F/+33R will tend to move the wheel/tire inboard; hence Heel's comment about being sunken in. While it's better to buy "the right offset" wheels to start, there's nothing horrible about running conservative spacers for fitment. I used to be a doubter and naysayer - until I tried my first set, coincidentally on my first Z33 (the one I still own) - but after the positive experience I had with getting my tires and wheels perfectly dialed in and opening up my choices of wheels, I use them without any reservation.
For your application 8.5/9.5 +38 F/R, I'd go with either a 15 or 20mm spacer. Make sure whatever spacer you get, they are hub-centric for your Z's hubs which are 66.1mm. The wheels (TS-5) have a 72.6mm center hub hole so you will need hub ring adapters (plastic or aluminum, your choice) to fit the hub-lip of the spacer. You will need a set of 72.6 to 66.1 hub ring adapters. And, by the way, these are the exact spacers I use with nary an issue. Reason I posted the link is so you can see the hub-lip I'm talking about.
Pairing tires with your TS-5s, use a 245/40-18F, 275-40-18R and you'll be set.
If you want to learn more about offset, here's a bump of my old post. Might help a little.
