Default RPF-1 Fitment

Hi all. After a relatively exhaustive search, I'm making a new thread for a fitment question.

I currently have an all stock 08 350z with no adjustments made in the suspension.

Here is the potential setup:

17x10 +18 with 235/40/17 tires
18X10.5 +15 with 255/35/18 tires

The set of four is listed for $1300 with new tires so it sounds like a good deal. My search has shown mixed results with some arguing that the fronts may need the fenders rolled and the rears with an added spacer. How does everyone feel about this setup on our vehicles?

Note: I would like to stay on stock suspension but obviously not drive a 4x4. The vehicle is mainly used for daily driving with annual trips to the local road course.

Thanks for all your help.

Front: reduction of inside clearance by 13mm, outboard, add additional 37mm. Front wheelwells are already flat from factory, no roll required.

Rear: Reduction of inside clearance by 10mm, outboard, add additional 40mm.

In the future, use the tool:

https://my350z.com/forum/tire_rim_calculator.php

Take the results of this and a tape measure out to your car and that should give you a pretty good idea of fit.

Those are weak tire sizes.

The front stock tire is a 225/45r18, which has a diameter of 26", a 235/40r17 tire has a diameter of 24.4". The rear stocker is a 245/45r18 which has a diameter of 26.7", a 255/35r18 has a 25" diameter. While this would lower u .8", it would also add another .8" wheel gap to ur already 4x4ish stock gap. Not a good idea. To avoid furthering ur 4x4 stock gap look, stick to stock tire diameters....

Question RPF1s on a 350z!?

I have a predicament here... I saw some Enkei RPF1s and became obsessed with them. I think bronze would look awesome on my silver z. I know bronze RPF1s are almost impossible to find in the right sizes but I can get another color powder coated bronze.

Here is the issue, Enkei only makes two RPF1 size groups that I calculated would be best for my Z.

1.) 10" +38mm (Front) which would retract my current setup by 4mm, and 10.5" +15mm (Rear) which would extend my current rear setup by 8mm.

2.) 9.5" (All Around) +38 offset in the front retracting my setup by 10mm and +15 in the rear retracting my current setup by 5mm.

I was thinking of selling my Volk SF Challenge wheels to buy the RPF1s and some new tires but I am not sure if it is worth it. I really like how they sit now with stock suspension. My current wheels and tires are 9.5" +28 Front, forgot the tire size, and 10.5" +23 Rear 285/35/ZR19 tires.

Does anyone think +/- 5mm to 10mm offset would make a huge difference in appearance? Is it ok to switch to a square 9.5" setup? What would you recommend doing?

Thanks!

Austin88, the most common RPF1 combo is 9.5 +15 front and 10.5 +15 rear. Some of us have been running 10.5 +15 all around. Look around in this section for examples

Thanks terrasmak, is there any reason not many people run the 10" +38 RPF1 in the front with the 10.5" +15 in the rear? I just noticed that there is less of an offset difference with the 10" wheel for the front.

ive ran 18x10.5 +15 on two different sets of wheels. (new set of wheels coming and both front and rear will be identical)

For me, running 10.5 +15 all around is solely because i can rotate the wheels and tires front to back. I think a lot of the guys that run square set-ups can attest to this, it's the biggest benefit to get the most out of their tires.

nextcore, that makes sense haha I wouldn't mind doing that. I am pretty new to wheel sizes because I bought my car with aftermarket wheels already installed.

I believe the 10.5 +15 would extend about one inch further in the front than what I have right now. Do your front wheels extend beyond the fender? What tire size do you run?

Thanks!

10" +38 on the front will appear "tucked." It will not look good on a 350z.

10.5" +15 will protrude slightly on the front. 9.5" +15 aligns with the front fenders almost perfectly.
