insurance for the Z is cheaper than I expected. Howcome when I tell people I want to get the Z, and even amongst my friends, they tell me its going to be very high?

Am I missing something here?

I was kinda surprised too when I got my first bill and saw it was almost $10 cheaper per month than my old Integra. I'm no expert, but I think it may be due to the fact that the Z isn't as common as a lot of other vehicles out there. Because it's not as common, there's less of a demand for spare parts, which in turn means there's less incentive for guys to steal it, strip it, and sell off the parts. If you look at the insurance industry's annual top 10 rankings of most stolen vehicles, there's usually at least 4-5 Camrys/Accords/Civics/Integras of various vintages on the list...because of all the parts money the car thieves can make stripping them.
