Angry WARNING TO FUTURE CINCITY CUSTOMERS

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!

I got my headlights done with Cincity about 2 months ago and they turned out pretty bad. Nic refused to do anything about the "stress cracks" on my lights after the work was done on them. And I wasn't warned that his work can lead to my lights getting screwed up like that. A friend on g35driver.com asked me to post my experience there to warn other G35 members about Nic's customer service. As soon as I posted my story, everyone took my side on this and was surprised and how Nic decided to handle the situation. Basically he came into the thread with some very foul language and trying to blame the whole problem on me. Quite a few people said that they've changed their mind about doing business with Nic after reading all the comments. So I would just like to warn you guys about getting your lights done by Nic...he will NOT warn you that something like this might happen, so I would like to warn everyone before they decide to dish out a few hundred bucks on their lights. Yes, I know it's a long read...but I think it's worth the read for anyone who's planning on doing business with this Nic douche

Everyone who read the thread last night and today on g35driver told me to start a new thread after the original one by Cincity was deleted, so I did...here it is:

http://g35driver.com/forums/lounge-o...customers.html

Here are a few pictures of what my lights currently look like

[/QUOTE]

And here is a before picture, right before the lights were sent in to Nic

I'm not posting this to screw up Cincity's rep...but simply to warn others about the risks of having them do your headlights since I was never warned about it.

Here's what a member on g35driver who also does headlight work told me.

the problem you are having with the lensing is called crazing, it happens due to stress fractures on the plastic. This can be caused by various reasons:
- the light could have been cleaned with an aggressive cleaner, like a solvent which eats away at the plastic.
- the light could have been sealed with a sealant that out-gasses and the gasses can cause a chemical reaction with the plastic
- hard impact

wow....I was really considering having that done to my lights too. Not anymore, especially if he reacted the way you say he did. I am not risking my lights to a company with no customer service. Here is one customer lost.

The main thing that pisses me off about this whole situation is Nic's attitude towards it, which is why I decided to post this.

Hey Calin, did it cross your mind that perhaps these aren't actually your original lights? I'd be willing to be that's the case. The guy seems so disorganized, he probably worked on the wrong lights and confused you with someone else and shipped you someone else's work. He himself even questioned if he's confusing you with someone else.

CinCity needs to man the f*ck up for this.

the 'before' picture is worthless by the way. there is no light shining through and you couldn't even tell if it is or isn't messed up.

but, those little cracks are creepy. I haven't seen stress cracks like that. seems chemical or something.

Nope, he told me to try to get new lights through my insurance. Like they'll replace the lights for having hairline cracks

That looks like something that should have been taken care of right away. Why would any company leave a situation like this. Dont they realize that every time someone says "Hey man, why does your headlight look like that? Where did you get it done?" That it is going to make them look bad.

I know, but it's one of the only pic I have of the lights before they were sent off. Here's another one of them. I know it's still not very good but trust me, there were no cracks AT ALL before sending them out

That's what I don't understand either. Nic should know better. But I guess he doesn't

Calin,
Do you have the PM's where he said he hadn't painted them and then a few minutes later he said they were done?

Thank you. And yes, they were perfect....and I expected to get them back in the same condition. It's not like these lights are very cheap
