Sad to say it, but last night at 10pm I wrecked my Z, and it looks to be totalled It happened on I-75 southbound between the gibsonton and apollo beach exits here in Tampa. I downshifted to go around someone in 4th and punched it, the rear end snapped around and instantly got sideways, sending me straight into the guardrail in the median. The rear of the car took the hit and was completely crushed in, the car is pretty much destroyed from the b-pillars back. Unfortunately at night I couldn't tell that the road was just slightly damp, there was no road spray from other cars nor were my wipers on (not raining), so as far as I knew the road was just as dry as when we we got on miles back (did a quick 3-4 blast on the on ramp). Jim (k6750gsxr) was with me in the pass. seat, but he's ok. I on the other hand, busted my bottom lip on the inside

The car was towed to a friend's house where we're gonna salvage what we can (look for a part-out thread). I'm surprized at how calm I am, just glad to be alive and that no one got hurt :thumbsup2: It just sucks that after four years of having it, and over 2 years boosted, it has to go this way...

as long as you don't have any serious injury you came out on top, sure you car is fuxored but that is what insurance is for....you can always buy another car...not another life.

No, FHP just wrote me an accident report, no citation. They were responding to many accidents at the time, there was a rollover just down the road

I filed a claim this morning, I have a claim number but have to wait til tuesday before I get a call due to the long weekend.

Im glad to hear everyone is ok. I just had a good friend of mine get paralyzed about 2 weeks ago. Its hard to see him like that. Be happy its only the car man.
