Default Twisties in Boston

Does anyone on this forum live in Boston (duh), can you guys please tell me where the twisties are? I can't find a single one near the area, if you guys do can you please post the directions to one?

I am in San Francisco right now for Thanksgiving and there are 200 billion different twisties around.... I envy them

head WEST young man. There are plenty of twisties as you get out past 495. Try taking a ride out to the resorvoir.

If you want to drive further head out the mohawk trail there are some great roads out that way.

...but first check out g350z.com.

I just moved from Boston to FL. I had my Z there from Oct. of 02, up unitil two weeks ago. Storrow drive with no traffic is a great road to fly on. I wouldn't call it a twisty, but if has its share of fun curves and ups and downs. Newly paved, nice and narrow, and never any cops! For a while there it seemed like I was racing EVO's and STI's every other day on that road. Those cars are obviously faster, but you can only go so fast on storrow and the Z held it's own with now problem. Have fun!

Storrow drive is pretty fun, but I was driving 100 down there one time racing my friend's Z4.. ate it alive with my RX8 and I ate the cop that was right next to him too... well of course I only found out that he was a cop after he start flashing those red and blue lights..

but we braked pretty well before he turned on his radar.. he only got us going 40 in a 35..... woohoo

The Jamaica Way is the best "twistie road" in the Boston area. It's only about a mile long, but the twists and turns are well worth the effort. "Enjoy the Twisties"

Bay Road between Stoughton and Easton was mentioned in Road and Track a long time ago as one of the best driving roads in New England. Unfortunately the area has become developed now (and with it came traffic, kids, pets, etc,) but the road still has about 2+ miles of the road you (and everyone who owns a Z I would imagine) are looking for. Just do a mapquest search for "Bay Road Stougton,MA". You have to travel almost to Easton before it starts getting fun. As I mentioned it only lasts about 2 miles but just like a rollercoaster you just turn around and do it again.

If you don't mind driving to Cape Cod, I came up with a pretty good course that was newly paved and had some great twists in it, as well as being very scenic and lasted about 10 miles. We had about 25 Zs and Gs run it last Spring and everyone seemed to have a good time. We will more than likely do the same drive at next year's Cape Cod Meet in ~May so put that on your calender. Let me know if you need some directions and I'll try to dig them up.

As David (35 Ounces) mentioned, you should go over to www.G350Z.com as that is the "local" board for most of us.

Don't I feel foolish! I live a mile from the stretch of Bay Road. I go out of my way to drive it whenever possible and never even thought of this as one of the best driving roads. I guess I have a new appreciation for what I have. I think I'll go take a drive now!

i work in waltam... nothing worth driving around there. there's a fun rotary (skidpad?) near bentley that taunts me everyday, but that's pretty much it.

i was down in bennington vt last year, heading to mount snow... there are some GREAT roads down there. 2-3 lanes wide and reaaaaly bendy.

Haha! Used to drive that as a kid all the time. Had a few "close" ones on that little right angle hill on the other side. Another guy and my friends mom actually collided there. His mom couldnt get out of her car because her door was crashed in and his car was against it.

A real nice banked turn would have to be 93N exit 32 Medford/Arlington. I think its about 15-20 degree bank, but you can pick up some nice speed around it.. Make sure to slow down tho when the 3 lanes become one..

I drive Storrow everyday at 7:30AM. No one going outbound and my confidence increases everyday. I have no clue how it's 40mph zone - I can get up to 80mph no problem and it feels like I'm going SLOW.

That's as good as it gets for twisties in Boston. I can't wait for next spring so these suburban old-tymers can show us the twisties in their neck of the woods

I study at Tufts University, I leave exit 31 like CRAZY all the time.. 100mph+ and comes a left corner ... 4th gear turn... all the way.. and comes a right right after that... going 110 down..... and just brake to the stop sign

that's the only place where I am confident to go fast one cause I never seen any cops there

more guys anymore

where can I get the most runs against other cars?

x28 - I know EXACTLY where you are talking about. I graduated Tufts in 2003... my friend did that exit on his motorcycle at 140mph all day long.

Do you go there now? What grade you in or you grad student? I still have friends that are seniors.
