Anyone know how we can capture how many vehicles (2004 models) have had feathering. I think that this is important as we need to let Nissan know that they will need to extend the warrenty as they did with the 2003s. I had feathering at 8900 miles and my tires were replaced (2004.5 model). I would hope that Nissan will somedsy fix the problem but for now, an extended warrenty would be better then nothing.

NO MORE FEATHERING THREADS IN THIS FORUM. I can't take it anymore. We get them in the Wheels/Brakes/Suspension forum, we get them in the Repair forum, and now I see at least 4 threads in this forum. If you don't get alignments and don't want to fess up to the fact that the Z wears tires quickly and you are too cheap to replace them, then sell the car. Nissan is not going to do anything. End of story.

honestly.......those people who knows about feathering are forum memebers. I know some people driving Zs that never goes to forum or read about car news never knew they have feathering with their cars. I am a Z owner of 2 and a half year, and I am STILL ON MY STOCK tires front and back with 32,xxx miles!!! I have read many feathering post, and I still dont know what it is! And you know, I DONT CARE! If my car can drive with 32,xxx miles on stock tires, I am fine, and still enjoying my car every moment. My car is an 03, got it in the second month after the Z was out in 2002!!
For those that are in the future of buying a Z, dont stop youself because you read about the feathering. Is not the end of the world! If you dont like this car, dont buy it!
