Default I Hate Tree Sap!!

well guess what.. yes boys and girls.. all OVER my car!! FUKING A!!! I parked at work by a tree and the wind was blowing hard.. it threw some a corns or something at my car with tree sap in the middle of it.. it busted when it hit my car and theres is a crap load of tree sap all over the poor thing. I went to walmart and got some tar and bug remover.. works well but damn its a *****!!

aww that happened to my old car all the time @ my first apartment complex. A razorblade works well to, just be careful

OMg I would never use a razor blade on paint, wow, thats gutsy!

Make sure you give her a nice coar of wax after using the tar and bug remover..... I prefer Zaino

haha yeah well it was on a 98 acura cl with not so great of paint. And most of the wax was on the windshield anyway, but the razorblade did work perfct on the paint too.

But yeah now that I think about it, if it were my Z the razorblade would not have been near my paint!

All you need to do is boil some water, and run it over the same slowly, it will melt and losen off of the car. Ive done this many of times without a prob. and no damage to the coat.

I'd try using some 3M rubbing compound - I've found it works far better than the bug and tar remover on my PPW Z.

My solution to tree sap has always been claybar.

Use some brake fluid, it will buff right off.

I used it recently on my damaged A-pillar to remove tape goo. I figured, so what if it does something negative, it's gonna be replaced anyways. The WD-40 didn't do anything noticeable to the A-Pillar's paint, besides leave some minor streaks which were easily removable with some Meg's Quick Detailer.

well i have just went the last 2 hours cleaning the tar of my damn car! I used the turtle wax tar and bug remover!! damn its a *****!!
