Talking Purchased an 05 6 spd SB enthusiast tonight.

I've been looking for a new car for nearly two years now. I finally decided on the Z after considering a bunch of other cars. a local dealer was advertising 04 automatic tourings @ 4k below msrp. That wasn't what I wanted but wanted to see if they would cut me a similar deal. well, they wouldn't go that low on the car I wanted (either an SS or SB enthusiast) But I managed to get a good deal on an 05 after a few hours of negotiating.

6 miles on the clock when I drove it off he lot. I love this car so far

Is the tread on your front tires different than the back tires (e.g. the new tread pattern for the front wheels?)..

Thanks..

Thanks for the replies.

I plan on getting some wheels in the next month or so, as well as a better audio system.

Rickdogg - I'll be out of town that week but I would def like to meet up with some Z owners in the near future.

Rangersrule - If my calculations are correct I paid around 800 over invoice. The window sticker was missing on the car when I saw it, and the salesman thought it was an 04. When they found out it was an 05 the deal was initially off. I'm not too familiar with the Bureaucracy of the dealership managers, but the first two wouldn't give it to me at that price. The 3rd one finally did. I'm sure I didn't get the greatest deal out there but whatever, i'm happy.

mike952 - That's a good question. This morning when I walked out to my car I found that there were a few small scratches on the passenger side door. I took it back to the dealership and left it there so they could fix it. I'll let you know Tuesday when I get the car back.

I noticed that the front and rear tires are the same to answer your question.

I haven't driven the car all that much this week but so far I like it very much. I'm trying to break it in properly but the temptation to take well over 4k rpm is almost overwhelming. But so far I'm holding myself back.

The only issue I have with the car is that the clutch and gearbox isn't as smooth as I'd like it to be. I'm hoping that when I get used to the car more i'll learn it better and things will smoothen out. I've done alot of searching and it seems as though alot of people have had transmission issues and I really hope I won't have to deal with this in the future.

2nd gear doesn't seem to engage as smoothly as the other gears. I really haven't had any problems getting the car into gear, but it just sees like gearbox struggles to always slip in perfectly. Is this a normal characteristic of the Z?
