He wouldn't disclose the reserve to me. I'm sure it's very close to the Buy it Now price.

Yup, saw that. Just as I was talking to the guy on the phone. Well, we'll see how it goes. Think I should put in a high max bid now or wait until last minute?

My only question is: Why would someone bid 30k if that is where the Buy it Now option was? Wouldn't they have just used Buy it Now for a garunteed win? Looks kinda fishy to me. Maybe the guy realized he could get much more cash out of it and had a buddy go bid it up...

More than likely its a friend of the seller bidding on it . Its stupid if he bid on it and could have gotten it for $30,000 . Bet it was a friend...pushing the price up

I saw this car at many events D1 GP, LA International Auto Salon, SEMA.... and even though it was a tad beyond my style the work done on it is immaculate. The paint job is beautiful in person.

It was sitting in the actual NISSAN display booth at IAS. It seems like a big time corporate owned show car instead of a private owner. It's also appeared in Racing Hart brochures and the like.

Seems pretty legit to me.
Company needs to sell a car, it's built with sponsored products, it was trailored around the country for shows, it'll probably cost them more to dismantle the whole thing so they let it go as is for a descent price. Heavily sponsored promotional product.

That's my take.

The Buy it Now was at $35,000. However your theory IS still possible. When I talked tp the rep today, he mentioned he had been on the phone most of the day with about 3 other people interested in it. He may have had someone bump it up, hoping to start a bidding war between us and get himself a nice little bonus from the boss if the car goes for more than the Buy it Now price.

Thanks for the offer, but as the auction ends tomorrow morning, it's do or die for me. I think I'm gonna try and go for it. Wish me luck.

I've spent the last three days e-mailing them with questions out the wazoo and talked to the rep on the phone today with a bunch more. Car and deal seems solid. Crossing fingers...

personally i would be scared to buy that car it has a lot of electrical mods that they did to the car and everytime you screw with electrical from my point of view it's a bad thing.

Don't worry, I will. I was a member here before I strayed to a G35c and then an FX, but it's official: I'M BACK!

I talked with them yesterday and will call again in a bit. The car is owned by Toucan industries and they have lots of experience with moving around high profile show cars. I'll likely use their shipper. I probably won't go over there. Myabe if I had gotten it for less, but now I'll need all my cash. I've got lots of family nearby; I'll probably send them down this weekend to check it out for me and make sure everything's kosher.

Right now, I need to move my FX fast. Anybody looking?

Damn, NICE!

That was a sick deal. Now, you need to look into getting that wing taken off.

Let us know how the transaction goes!
