Default Show car on Ebay. Worth it?

So, if, on a whim, one were considering this... is it worth it? Potential risks/problems? Thoughts?

HID conversion kit makes me think it started as a base model, so likely doesn't have Trac contrl/VDC or LSD, the latter easily rectified. I suppose any and all factory warranty is completely void.

I didn't ask anyone's opinion of it. Questions are regarding considerations of purchasing such a car. I'm not too fond of the way they did the gauges, but Jesus, that car's got to have upwards of $80k in it and it only has 200 miles. Crap, even if they did start with a base model, the wheels and brakes alone make it worth the Buy it Now price. What am I missing?

It has so much stuff on it, it's worthless for anything except show.

Why's that? Everything looks functional to me. Not sure where the NOS hooks in; I don't see any components for it under the hood, but I'm no expert in that area. I've seen cars on this site modded more than this (maybe not so much the interior stuff, but performance-wise). As for streetability, I'm not looking for a daily driver, I'm after a pure weekend toy, so practicality is not an issue for me.

I appreciate the comments, but I'd like more detailed responses.

that car looks pretty carzy. totally unrealistic unless you plan on using it for shows only. for example, i think it would attract way too much attention if you drive it on the streets...probably would get stolen or vandalized.
plus, i would never buy a car that's been modified...to this extent at that. also, it looks kinda suspicious that the "buy it now" price is only 35k. seems like from the list they gave and if the car really has only 200mi, they would be losing a lot of money if they sold it at this price.

Well, you rarely get the money you put into modifications back when you sell it, but they would be losing a LOT of money. If you're really considering buying it, I would definitely call the seller and ask them loads of questions.

it looks like an awesom car, but too me it sounds too good to be true, why would they sell a car like that (even more at such a low price). And even if it doesn t have anything wrong, being sold as is and without any warranty, would make me think twice.

All good points. I just e-mailed them with a bunch of questions.

BTW, how the heck would you get something like that through inspection?

It's overdone but alot of the mods are such good quality that it would be worth it. If I was in the market for a Z, I'd give it a good look.

That car is the Reactive company show car. It was in a magazine, forget which one. I don't like it that much but it's your buck.

If you like it get it. To bulid the same car you'd spend alot more the 35k.

I would stick with the rule of thumb, "it's to good to be true"

Also, it is a base... no cruise control on the steering wheel.

We'll find out if they respond to my e-mail.

Also on the warranty issue, I'm sure the "as is" statement on the auction page is just standard CYA procedure for the seller. Think there's any chance of finding a dealer that would work with me on any warranty issues that aren't related to the mods (not that I could think of any that wouldn't be...)?

Well the thing is:

Engine: 350 plus HP Nitrous Express Nitrous Kit
ProCharger Super Charger Kit w/ front mount intercooler

These mod alone would potential void all warrenties on the engine. NoS can be deadly for an engine, along with a poor SC. Either way, any future issue with the engine, all the Dealer has to say is that its not NISSAN's fault, but the fault of the mods.. which they wont even mess with. Also, all the custom electronics. So im sure the same would go with the electrical system. Either way, "As is" means, what you see is what you get, nothing more, nothing less. I could prob. confidently say that "if" you purchased this Z, you better hope you had a good job, because if something goes, your out big.

GL!
