Some backround first, i put a order on a g35c first, but i didn't think i would be able to afford it, so i cancelled it and ordered a 350z.
i ordered an enthausist package with all options, i ordered it on june 8. the car comes in on oct 31, i tell the salesman i'll pick up nov 1. i 'm trading my 97 bmw 328is, 2 weeks ago i talk to the used car guy and tell him my z is do in 2 weeks can you appraise my car he says sure. he tells me he'll give $14,000 for it, not so bad i tell him i'll see him in 2 weeks. i was going to put my car and $6500 cash down on the z. i go to pick the z up last night, and the used car guy tells me he's only going 2 give me $9,000 for the car. i said what happened to $14,000 he said its been a bad month for used cars and to take or leave it. i said to him you must be kidding, how can my car deppreciate 35% in 2 weeks, he said it just does i'll give $9,500 and that being generous. i tell him i want to talk to the manager, the manager comes over and i explain whats happening. the manager says take or leave it, we can sell your car over sticker, so i say forget it. he says fine. i tell him i want my $500 deposit back he says no, i battled it out with him and got it back. on my way from the dealership i stop by the infiniti dealer and talk to the salesman i originally placed the order with, my order is still available, so placed my deposit. i'll have a lazer red g35c base model with auto, in december i already have vin. things worked out for the best in the end, but it shows people are ******.
