Default Weight of stock z hood: 24lb

I'm trying to sell my stock hood, and in order to get an idea of shipping costs, i had to weigh it: 24lb.
If anyone needs a factory hood in great condition, asking price is $150 plus shipping. If interested, email me at mrgwski@sdccu.net.

Sounds like an excuse to stick a for sale post in the General forum. Plus you double posted.

you wont beable to ship the hood by weight...

but by dimentional weight...

you are looking at 120-140 for shipping...

I thought the factory hood weighted 14lbs?

i'm investigating an ebay-like shipping auction service where you give them the dimensions, including weight and how much you want to pay for shipping, and diff companies bid for your business.
Yes, my stock hood weighed 24lb on a digital scale; but then again, the book weight for a z is what, 3200lb? Well, the weight on my door panel says mine weighs 3800 FZUKING POUNDS!!! Where the hell did that extra 600 lb come from???
You have a perf model, right Jason? What did your car weigh from the factory?

I think the weight on your door is the TOTAL maximum allowable weight (the car PLUS the total maximum allowable weight of people & cargo)

No, i checked the manual. The number on the driver's door panel is, indeed, the weight of the car from the factory and has absolutely nothing to do with "maximum allowable weight".
