Talking Proud new 2004 Z Owner!

Hey guys brand new to the site, I am not exactly a noob to this (I am a long time member of many other forums and I am the Assistant Admin of two sites). But I am a noob with the 350Z, most likely because for the last couple of months (or really since I decided to trade my old car in for something else) I have been really learning about the Dodge SRT-4. Though I am glad that I took the time to visit a Nissan dealer

This is my old car which I traded in for my Z, also the car was great. But I felt it was time for a change and easier to make a monthly payment then saving money to mod.

I did some searching and some looking around... I have two questions, hoping someone can shed some light on it.

First my seat kinda moves, I can sorta push the base of the seat some? Is that normal? Also I read about the front of the car having pins so you cannot place the rear wheels on the front... can you easily take those off if you want to change up to larger rims and can you put them back on if you use the OEM rims again? Also there are these blue dots on each of my rims, I tried to get my finger nail under it to see if it is possible to take off. Though it didn't seem to want to come off, did you guys have those too and how did you get them off?

Sorry silly questions, but any help would make me very grateful.

Thanks

Jonathan

First off, Welcome to the club.......Only thing I can tell you about any of your questions is Larger rims are easily added. Just have to make sure of the offset.....I'm sure plenty others will chime in anytime now.......Good Luck, and Z Ya! Dave

Alot of us have had the seat problem on the driver side non power seat. Mine just moves a little when I take sharp turns, but it doesn't inspire confidence so I hope to fix it soon. There is a TSB for it moving under driving, and there is a thread with a fix in it, but I am too lazy to search. 12mm socket and the stupid things on the front rotors are off. They were put on to stop idiots from mounting the OEM rear wheels on the front. I had those same dots on my rims. I don't know if I ever got them off before I put my rims on though.

I still have a few dots as well on my rims. One I scraped off with my finger nail. I would also like to know the best way to remove them. I've since bitten off the one nail I had so that's no longer an option.

Congrats on your new ride. Looks great.

Same thing on the Seat... The dots are still there on mine. Going to make the dealer get them off. Congrats and welcome to the club.

haha! That's weird. It's because the flash made its way under the car, we are used to seeing cars with shadows under there.

Haha thanks so much guys for the helpful and welcome posts. I will ask the dealer tech people when she goes in for the first service about the seat moving.

Christmas is around the corner, and I just paid a bunch of my bills off so it will be a minute before I can start some modding... though I will be getting 20% tint this saterday
