stock y-pipe is the most restirctive part of the cat back exhaust system....

most of the power gain is increased from changing the y-pipe alone... the rest will change sound mostly... and effect weight as well..

My immed hp gain with aftermarket ypipe=6hp; i then immediately installed aftermarket cats and redynod: 1 hp gain

immediate horsepower.
i am no one to ask about ypipes, but the majority opinion seems to be to maintain the same size tubing throughout your exhaust system to minimize "turbulence". i merely bot the gb ypipe of the day. If i had to do it again, i would not pay the extra money for a polished ypipe, as no one sees it, anyway.
