Default New Black 05 Enthusiast

Hey guys, I just bought a Black 05 enthusiast on Friday. I have driven the car about 500 miles this weekend. And I think I'am in love. I have wanted a new Z since they came out in 03 and it is better than I could of imagined. I had a 02 Spec V before which I was happy with although others had many problems with them. Is there anything I should be looking out for in the Z I plan on leaving this car stock unlike the Spec V but time will tell. Thank you for any advice you could give me and I'am happy to be a part of the club.

Congrads! Issues: tire feathering, grease streaks on windows when it rains, interior rattles, clicking noise from rear, and other rattles. Other than that its an awesome car.

I heard you bro. I was in love with the Z the moment it came out in 2003. After two years of saving, last sunday (12/05) I brought the baby home. Mine is 2005 Base, Black. I'm in Saint Petersburg, FL, if any of you out there who also live in near by area, we should hangout sometime.
Congrats and enjoy the car buddy.

I have not driven in the rain yet so I don't know about the streaks. But I will let you know, as for the rattles none yet but it's still new. By the way how is the Z in the rain?

I've driven in the rain a lot lately, it keeps coming...

The Z is great in the rain if you don't go too fast. 65-70 in straight lines, slow down for turns. Make sure tires are meaty. Keep a lot of distance ahead of you.

Let the speedracer retards go around you in the rain. Don't get road rage if they cut you off, and don't follow them closely to scare them.

3 days ago I saw a Suburban do a 180 spinout in slowmotion on the freeway, it was like ice ballet or something. NOT COOL - - people should not exceed the limits of their vehicles by speeding in the rain.

I've set my cruise control as fast as the ecu will let me go in the rain at 91mph on the highway when traveling and it hugs the road like a champ. Of course I leave my VDC on for extra precautions for rainy weather, but street racing it's a must that you cut it off.

me tooo I am also in love with the z tooo.... have it exactly one month yesterday..Dec 6 04. already put 3000 miles on it..(on thanksgiving I drove to Texarkanasas Dallas and OKC.. quite a road Trip ....).. Being in the Army and living in the Barrack and station in Fort Riley, Kansas... my z is exposed to all kinds of cruel weather of kansas.... snow... rain and icy-road...... driving in the rain...hmmm it slips a lot.... therefore I am very caution and take it slow....congrat and have fun .... bud

At 91 mph in the rain VDC stands for "Very Deadly Car".
