Talking Just wanted to say HI....

I am in the Market for my 350Z in the next couple of months so i decided i would hop on and say hi and start doing my research. I currently drive a 99 Nissan Maxima SE-L 5speed and hoping to get into a lightly used 04 Track. I am not stranger to the Z33. My brother does own a 03 G35 6speed so i have driven something close to the Z and i love it. Just wanted to say hi and start getting familiar to the board. It will be nice to get back to RWD.

And here is some shots my My current obsession.

Welcome. There's a ton of useful info here. Just keep in mind that the complainers are more vocal than the praisers.

Thanks for the Welcome .I am on another forum (maxima.org) so i know what the guys who have been on here for a while will probally be like. I was a noob a long time ago .I will take my time and read all the stickied information i can find and get a feel for what i should be done and should not be done.
I have been seeing info about Nissan changing ECU's in the 04 cars when did this take effect? is there some place that outlines this? I would like to get an 04 that can have the ECU flashed or do you think i would be better off with an 03? I know the 03's had front alignment problems and some tranny issues? Any suggestions would be great.

The Z's ride quality is nothing like the G's, and its oomph factor is also different. If you can handle a harsher ride with a little more oomph, by all means get a Z. But in any case, welcome to the family!

Yeah i can handle a harsh ride. My previous car was aS13 240sx with KYB AGX's and Eibach pro-kit.
It's his can he wanted the decals he got them. I told him there were better ways to spend $250 but he insisted so there they are.

I could care less. I am more concerned with options and packages. I would love either a Daytona Blue or Silver Stone but when buying used you take what you can get. As long as I find a "Track" i will be happy. The hunting has began for me. i will keep everyone updated.
Anyone care to update me on what i should look for as problems with these cars. i wouldn't ming getting a 2003 but i am scared i will run into one with Alignment problems but then i think if i get a 2004 i may end up with one that cannot have its ECU reflashed?!?!?
what can i do.

Well we will see. I have been recessing my original plans and i think i am going to start looking for a performance instead of a track. i wanted the track for the wheels and Brakes but realized i will more than likely get BBS wheels anyway and big brake kits are relatively inexpensive (full wilwood kit is $3500?!?!?!). so Maybe a silverstone performace is in my future.
