Spend $30K in mods or buy more expensive sportscar?
right now i'm leaning towards getting a 350z, since it's a lot easier to finance, and insurance would be cheaper, also i love the look of the Z. any suggestions on the subject would be greatly apprectiated
either way that it goes if i had 70k i would probably still get either one and just mod he heck out of it, if you take a car with 30k invested in mods to a car show it's more likely you will win over just a stock expensive car.
The 997 will be far too expensive, but a used 996 Turbo would be the best option ( '01 - '02). 400+ HP with AWD and it's a Porsche. They are great on the track. Plus, they're a step ahead of anything else in their class.
If you want a serious performance car for 70k i would buy a
NOBLE M12 GTO-3R
Here are some pics of the gto3 not gto 3r
this is a GTO-3R
The M12 GTO-3R achieved 0-60mph in a staggering 3.7 seconds and went on to 100mph in just 9.0 seconds. For the record, top speed is a claimed 170mph. These remarkable figures are delivered courtesy of a seriously re-engineered Ford 3.0-litre V6 with twin Garrett water-cooled turbochargers. Output is 352bhp at 6200rpm and 350lb ft of torque between 3500 and 5000rpm
and also pulls 1g! the price without the engine and tranny is about 58 with it it is about 78.
Have fun the GTO-3R will OWN every thing in its price range!this is there website

Yes Canada does suck *****!
the nobles are awesome - like a bigger badder elise, but I can't stand how the rear looks on them
There's some cool cars coming out on the horizon. I think Lotus might be making a 6 cylinder street legal car similar to the M250, but won't be out for a few years.
strange how so many people claim they want to move there

The Lotus is a ***** to get though. We have been on the waiting list for over 10 months and still have around 12-15 left! A guy locally has one and he got on the waiting list 3 years ago!
I have the G to tide me over until almost '06! lol

Man 30G's US or CN is alot to spend on mods to any car to me, I would'nt do it on a 27-33k 350Z because most of that is just not recoverable in many situations(resale, accident etc.). I would spend a few thousand at most.

Personally, I would take a pre-modded vehicle that was modded by a credible expert over just dumping 30k into a vehicle myself. The Saleen name will help ensure resale value in a way that most private tuners can't hope to rival.
