So what is it?
In front of my radiator on my 2005 Roadster is something that looks like an oil cooler. I have a copy of the 2004 Service Manual which states that the 5-sp Auto has an trans cooler but I have a 6 sp manual, so is it an unused trans cooler or an oil cooler, any ideas.
PS if it is a trans cooler, does Nissan but then on all 350Z? What a waste of money. Could it somehow be used as an oil cooler?

That was what I thought but the Service Manual shows the old being cooled by water from the radiator. The water comes from the thermostat inlet to a cooler at the base of the oil filter.

I found the cooler in the Service Manual and is DIFFENTLY a power steering Cooler! It would have been better to have been an oil cooler.
The 350 does has a type of oil cooler but the oil is "cooled" by water from the regular radiator which is piped to a “cooler” at the base of the oil filter
