Default Pirelli Snow Tires Go On Tomorrow

First thing tomorrow morning my new Pirelli 240 Snow Sports go on! 225/45/18's front 245/45/18 rears. Purchased from tirerack at an excellent price. Don't get me wrong, I have NO INTENTION of using my baby in heavy snow. Just don't want to get caught at the office or be coming home from the Y in an exexpected squall or ice storm. Better safe than sorry. Just hope the recommended installer doesn't scratch the rims! Happy Holidays to all.

just put the blizzacks on mine also. exact same reason. 90% of the time i wont need them but just in case. i can tell you this though. be ready for a much different handling car. like driving on sponges.

I have some high performance Dunlop Winter Sport M3s.... today in Boston there was 2 inches on the ground... powdery packed snow. I was in second gear at 15mph, blipped the throttle and my back end stepped out... and the slip light went crazy.

So be careful, still need to use caution. After you are at speed, the car with snow tires track excellently, but any torque and the Z misbehaves. Put some sand bags in the back for better traction! I'm going to home depot for that today.

have my Dunlop Winter Sport M3s on too but haven't had the chance yet to test them out (hoping i don't have to). it was icey this morning and was going to try them out but not going to take the chance so i left my baby in the warm garage to defeat those nasty temps outside this morn. the winter tires are nice though to have on in these cold temps despite my fear of bringing the car out in the snow. the rubber seems to remain soft with the cold and seems to help my handling in dry conditions when the Bridgestones failed once it got cold.

i love public transportation (SEPTA)!!
