Default Xmas Gift 350 Z

My wife gave me a SS MT Touring 350 Z with burnt orange leather this Morning!
Well she has it on laon till monday at no charge, I can bring the car back or Keep it! The deal is 2500 down 445 a month for 39 months with 12,000 mile a year. The car has a list of $35,040. I live in NJ, is this a good deal? What is everyone else leasing for?
I have till monday night to find a better deal, thinking of calling Hillside Nissan to find a better deal, although the peaple at RT 66 auto mall were nice to her and my 19 year old son!

Best X mas EVER!
Dirk

You can get a better deal, 34k OTD and under is a good deal for a Touring model I think... btw, what year is the car?

I agree you can do better. So go back and do a little negotiating.

But congrats on having a wife that is that cool. Your 19 year old son has to be pretty happy. By the way she is setting the bar pretty high for who ever he dates.

Merry Christmas!!

Congrats, but be careful. She must want something in return. Are you going to be paying for the car or her? Is she secretly trying to get her parents to move in? Is there a $60,000 diamond she been eyeing? is there a long lost child of her from the past? I'm just messing with you, really, congrats. Oh, yes, I think you can do better. Mine was an 03, 14k miles and I got it for $24,500 in August.

Don't let the dealer impost Monday nite on you as the deadline. After you return the car, you have all the time in the world to find a better deal. In fact, they have more incentive to make a deal to have you keep the car. Two questions for you:
1. Why not take delivery of the Z in the spring, after the snow is gone.
2. Is this a new car? What is the mileage on it when you got it? I would hate to buy a demo at full price.

1. This would not be my daily driver. I Have a Pathfinder for the snow.
2. New, it only had 27 miles on it, now it has 127. Boy was I good to put only a 100 miles on it! I think I spent more time with it in the garage than driving it.

Not to sure I liked the burn orange leather at first, but now I must have it. I also wanted the aero package and navigation but I can live with out it. Would like the dealer to instal the Nismo CAI
also. The list goes on and on.
Thanks,
Dirk

Even though I have an SS Z, looking at the pic you posted just makes me feel warm. Good memories of the first day that I got her sitting in my garage.

Give the dealer a little pressure, you'll be able to get back more than a few bucks. They think you'll won't want to give up the keys but a little will power will go a long way.

Congrats though, and to a good break in.

Lucky guy you are indeed. Nice Z, and if thats your wife in the background pic, your even more lucky.....

All I got for Christmas was a "poster" of a 350Z from my girl....oh well, I guess the best gifts are the ones you buy yourself...

Good luck with them both

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T HAVE THE DEALER INSTALL A CAI.

I was stupid enough when I first got my Z to ask them to install the AEM CAI. Turns out they were more than happy to do so for a mere $800 (that's right, that's in U.S. dollars). You are able to buy a CAI and have it installed for about 1/4 of what I paid. Don't waste your money....Please.

OMG....$800 ........you could of bought almost 4 AEM CAI's for that price I won't rub it in, we all make mistakes in life...and it seems you learned from it.

PLEASE don't let them rip you off.......you can do this mod yourself, or at least have friends in the "Z community" help you out.

Let them do warranty work.......but thats it!

OMG! Don't leave us in suspense! I'm betting either a Touring or a Roadster.

I'm Back! Well the deal is I brought the 350 Z that my wife gave me for Xmas to the dealer who loaned her for the Holiday weekend! My wife didn't know that I was working on a deal at a different dealer in Northern Jersey (Hilltop Nissan) since spring of 04. They matched the deal my wife had. Plus my new silverstone 05 Touring 6 speed Z also has 18 in chrome wheels, DVD Navigation, aero package, bumper to bumper for the term of the lease. They also included the Nissan Z car cover!

What a christmas.
I can't wait till next year. I promis I'll be good!
I hope to add Nismo CIA soon. Any comments on the sound of that CAI?

A picture of my new ride after I clean her up. You know it did snow a little in Jersey this week! S--t! That's why I still have my 95 pathy.

Did I mention that my first Z was a 1974 1/2 2+2! Silver blue
Now 30 years later 2005 350 Z!!!!!!!!!

When I find and scan a picture of it I will start a new post called Then & Now

Sorry for the long post, but that ride after work got me excited.

Till the next time
byezzzzzzzzzzzzz
