Default Won't REVERSE!

For the past two mornings my 6mt has absolutely refused to shift into reverse while sitting still with the clutch in. It feels like it's stuck or something. Is it just the cold? (I live in Dallas but it gets cold.)

By the way, I did a search and came up with nothing. Thanks guys...

maybe your reverse gear locking mechanism is malfunctioning....try this...what used to work for my old honda when it wouldnt get into reverse is that i would put it into one of the other gears first and then pop it into R.
BTW, you are pushing the shifter all the way down, right?

Is it possible that the clutch is wearing? It would make it hard to shift into any gear and maybe reverse is the first one to go.

That's the first thing I thought of. I'm surprised it took this long to come out as a solution.

well, no reason to go through major work if its something simple. 1st locks out on me occasionally, just release the clutch and back in. guess maybe the synchros are perfectly lined up or something to not go together. whatever. never been a repeated problem.

if you can NEVER get it into reverse Id call that a definitive problem.
