My nephew has a 5 speed manual Altima 3.5 and my G35 6MT Sedan smokes him everytime... hehe so unless this guy is using nitrous or FI he does not stand a chance against a Z

I've been reading this thread,,,,
and it must be the driver. There is no way an Altima 3.5 beats a 350Z unless the driver of the Z has no ability whatsoever.....then anything is possible

I was in Englishtown for the Import Nationals this fall and I was talking to a new Altima owner. He asked what I was expecting to run, and I said I was hoping to pull 13.7's and I'd be happy. He's goes.....ha, yea me too... I figure I can get mid 13's. I was dying on the inside because there was now way. So I looked at his window and sure enough he was in my bracket (13.0 - 15.0). I couldn't believe it.
Later that day I saw his car and he was in bracket 3 (15.0 +) and my buddy said he hadn't even gotten into 14.0's yet.
Wierd.

Well I have both. I have a 2005 Altima 3.5 SE 5 speed auto. They have the manumatic shifter. I use that once and a while. The car really picks up fast. This is fast car in its respect. On the other hand my 2004 Z way better and more aggressive. BTW both cars are stock. Last night a v6 mustang with custom exhaust and flashy rims raced me and I smoked him easily. I used the manumatic shifter. LOL!

I owned a 2002 Maxima before I got my Z and even though it is nearly as fast it doesn't launch nearly as well or climb up the tach as hard. The Altima won't win unless the driver of the Z blows it.

you can make an altima take a 350z in a 1/4 mile run...
FWD will have a better launch then the RWD 350Z with Negitive camber in the rear...
No question about it the 350z will kill in the twisties or a road course...
Stock Maxima next to a Stock 350z the Maxima will slooooly walk away with the Maxima's FWD with less drivetrain loss...
