Default I found a friggin Dead Rat in my Bumper!

The Z was getting a nice winter wash the other day and I popped the hood to clean out a couple of leaves. To my suprise, I looked down into the front bumper area and saw this pile of "something". It was laying on the flat plastic area in front of the radiator. I thought it was a pile of wet pine straw or leaves at first, but then I remembered that pine straw doesn't have a tail or a backbone. I didn't really want a case of the Plague this year so I got my girlfriend to bring down her surgical gloves and my pliers. It must have been there a while cause he was a decomposed mess. Here's a pic for your enjoyment. (Sorry it's from a Camera Phone) Remember kids, don't let dead animals decompose in your Z.

Damn thats disgusting! I hope you cleaned out the bumper area where the rat died! I'm not talking about just soap and water. Did you check the exhaust and intake opening? You never know..For how long was it in storage?

Damn, good thing it did not get sucked into the airbox. I have cleaned out several leaves from the stock airbox. Can you image that? Your dealer: "Your engine was misfiring because a rodent broke through your airfilter and got lodged on one of the valves.

I noticed a feather sticking out from my grill. When I pulled on it it seemed stuck so I gave it a bigger tug and out popped a dead bird that was stuck between the horizontal strips. Glad it wasn't the armadillo I hit one night.

Yeah. I know it's gross. Sorry. I just had to share my pain. Anyway. The car is my daily driver. I have no idea how it happened. It wasn't in storage or anything and I park it in my apt complex's parking garage. It didn't get into or bite into anything thankfully.

That's nasty. Nothin' worse than a wet dead rat.

I ran over a dead possum last night on the expressway, it gave a couple of good bumps under the car. When I stopped at the next exit to look ( 15 minutes later ) the car smelled like fried spam
I spent most of this morning trying to get the meat and baked on blood off the under side of the car.
Friggin gross

Damn that's pretty gross. Lucky the rat didn't do anything to your car. My dad had his porsche chewed on by a rat, and had to re-do some wiring, and under hood hoses etc.... Then he had the same thing happen to his 7-series.
Damn Rats..............and dogs, lol....

That's damn nasty. I suppose it's a good story to tell though, not many people can say they pulled a half decomposed rat from their Z's front bumper.
