Sorry for the loss man, at least no one got hurt. I would guess that your Z is totalled, because that looks like some pretty substantial frame damage.

That is definitely atleast 10K worth of damage if you want everything straight again.

sorry to see that as well -- did you have snow tires or traction control on?

Just wondering.

Sorry to hear about your accident you must be gutted......Nobody can predict weather your z is totalled or not depends on what kind of mood the adjuster's in, you might laugh I work in a bodyshop and some of these so called adjusters havent got a clue as to what they are looking at,he'll go away crunch the number's and get back to you in a couple of day's....If your lucky.

As to weather it might be totale loss....depends on the extent of the frame damage If they are kinked then your gonna need new frame rails, engine out suspention removed ect ect list goes on price goes up,good for you if you want it totalled, Im not to sure dont quote me on this but if the repair price is 75% of the value of the car then they will total it.

Hope it all turns out good for you.............

Latter.

I had Traction control on but no snow tires; I live in southern indiana not much snow. It rained all day was in the high 30s then the temp dipped down and created a black ice situation. Normaly I dont drive the Z in the rain but I had a hot date so I couldnt resist.... live and learn

over 10g for repairs but doesn't look totalled. It looks like its all cosmetics. Even the headlights are in good shape, they just got moved! I'm also very surprise that neither aribags damage your windshield. Take some more detail pics if you can and post it.

Yeah the headlights are not broken but most likely scratched so I expect they need to get replaced, I will talk to the insurance man monday and get a little info and have the day off tuesday hopefullly an adjuster will be ready by then. I am not really sure how this whole process works, never been through it before.

That definitely is more than $10k. This was $7474.49.

FYI: Something I learned from getting my car repaired is that our cars don't have a frame. They have whats called a uni-body. Fortunately in my case the damage did not get to the uni-body. The left-rear suspension was replaced along with a new left rear quarter panel. The final bill was $2k in parts and $5500 in labor.

Unless it is more than 75% of what the car is worth, insurance won't total it.

Hey nl12, sorry about your car. I notice you live in Evansville. Is it Evansville, IN? My hometown is Madisonville, KY (just south of Henderson, KY). I drive up to Evansville whenever I visit my hometown because there's stuff to do up there.

man i know the feeling of a car that is just a mess. i wonder if the car does get totaled, if there is anyway to pull parts out of it for sale. i would love all the plastics in the hatch area. my body shop was kinda crapy and cut corners and didn't replace the plastics in my car after i was hit to they are all kinda broken.
