Shrug VA it's 80% of the car's actual cash value. They wouldn't total my wifes 04 Taurus SES and it had about $9000.

zpylot, keep in mind the labor rate in indiana is like a third of what it is in cali, I would guess if I lived in cali it would be totaled but in indiana who knows. Thanks for your input.

The labor rate was only $66 per hour. Is the rate really only $33 per hour in Indiana?

damage looks almost identical to mine, I was told that my insurance dcelared it as totalled, I'm waiting for the settlement offer.

You are now number 8 from what I know off that had that same accident.
I posted that on my thread as well but it goes again.
This is what the ConsumerReport.com wrote about the Z's handling:
Precise steering, though some testers would like more road feel. Wide tires can wander along road grooves. Stable, grippy through sharpest curves--if pavement unblemished. Bumpy corners can send tail skittering sideways, reducing control. Rear tires slip easily on damp pavement, even with traction control. Brake performance and feel inspire confidence.

I am against law suits but I'm starting to think we should have a lawyer look into this and have nissan take some responsibility and fix this damn flaw and reimburse us for or lost investments

IOno, if u look at the roof, the condition looks fine, a frame damage would make the roof tweak. My car had hella suspension damage and the roof tweaked, you could see it. They barely totaled it.

Bryan - (thinks this car is not totaled)

Yup, roofline and a-pillars seem like they are in check. But who knows since I'm just looking at a picture. I doubt it's totalled but for your sake I hope it is. "fixed" cars suck *****. Glad you're alright.

at first i thought it look really bad and totalled for sure. but after further review of the pictures i dont' believe this would be considered totaled. or as some of us have been saying; having repair costs of at least 70%-85% of the car's value.

looking at kelly's blue book, your car, even if it is a 03 with high miles, would at least be 18-20k for the car. Which means the repairs will have to be from $12,600-$16,000.

That car has 15-20,000 in damage. I think its gone. 4 wheels anmd tires alone from Nissan are what? $3000. 4 lights (could argue they are scratched) would be pricey and you need a hood, front bumper plus all the internals, quarter panels, front suspension rear bumper. I needed a rear bumper plus internals, rear taillight, muffler and rear quarter panel and trunk floor and it was close to 10,000 Canadian. This is way more damage then mine was and you said some interior stuff needs to be replaced.

Tough call.....let us know what the adjuster thinks.

And don't forget to have her include the Olive Garden dinner in the estimate....

Like someone else said, depends on the adjuster quite a bit.
