Front Bumber Replacement Cost - Anyone know how much?
Someone told me they got one for around $200. Which is odd because those "clear bra's" cost more than that. It's actually cheaper to replace the bumper than to coat it with a protectant.
Not really. The quote I got is almost $800. They part itself is only $200 but they said they have to completly remove the bumper, reinstall it with the new front facia piece, reassemble all the trim parts of the bumper and the the painting, paint matching and clear coat.
I received a bid of around $800 just to repaint the front bumper by a top notch shop. Seemed real high to me. But $800 for new bumper & paint does not sound unreasonable for a first rate job.
They are supposed to be the best. I went ahead and claimed it so I am only paying $500 of it. I figure it would have cost me $500 for a crappy job so go with the good one. I just wish there was a way they could trow a clear bra on the same bill!

Front Bumper Cover= $175 (lists at $219.80)
NISMO side skirts= $387.50 (lists at $470)
Those both come unpainted and do not include shipping. So if anyone is interested in these of any other parts let me know or go to www.simplexproductions.com and send me an order.
I just got my bumper replaced. THe OEM bumper should be about $180. I got a NISMO replica from performance Nissan and am happy with it. Paid $390 shipped I think. Paint cost about $300.
I notice that your profile says your car color is chrome. If it is Silverstone, it is CRUCIAL that you get a quality body shop. I have Silverstone. Took mine to a dealer and they wanted to blend the paint into the hood and fenders after they botched the first paint job. Told them NO WAY !!!. Don't want half the car one color and half another color. THey repainted it 3 times and it still did not match. If they paint it directly off of the paint code, it will probably not match anywhere close to your OEM paint. The paint job depends on the skill of the painter. Silverstone has metallic flakes, which are actually Mica. In direct sunlight, it will look great, but in overcast......BLAH!
