so i wouldnt doubt it.

No Z cars but id say thats mainly because noone trust our nissan dealership and they = rips.

Z's are still a rare car where I live, so we always wave when we see each other.
You want waves? Get a Jeep Wrangler. The Wrangler brotherhood is stronger than any other vehicle on the road, bar none. As common as they are, we always wave. Heck, do a Google search for "Jeep Wave" and see what I'm talking about.

I used to wave but after a 1:20 ratio of waves to non-waves, I gave up.
There's a new Roadster in my work parking lot that I see about once a week. I was going to leave a note but after so many "I'm not going to wave back!" experiences, my spirits have been dashed.

I see a Z every other day, but have only seen a few modded ones on the streets in 8 months I've been driving a Z.
My car looks stock at first glance unless you look close enough to notice my nismo exhaust, Z emblems, chrome strips on the intake, short antenna, but most importantly the sound of mine gives mine away that I'm not stock.
I totally recognize the Z's stock sound. I'll be walking on the sidewalk in traffic on lunch break and hear a Z exhaust and recognize it, turn around, and sure enough it was a Z. I'm told that even when driving slowly you can hear me almost a mile away...

Hey mdacko - don't condemn us old farts for not waving. Whether you're in Ann Arbor or here in SW Florida, I'll give you a wave from my LS Roadster. I'm 66 and wave to all the Z's I see. Not all wave back but that's THEIR problem, not mine.
C'mon down to Naples in the winter and to Dutton (Michigan) in the summer and get a friendly Z-wave.

Thats a joke now, even to me. Every Nissan/Infinity with the same motor have the same sound. Kinda blows now. At first the Z was known for its tone.

I have done it like 3 or 4 times though - hearing something and thinking, that sounds like a Z (after all I do drive one and drove it stock for 5 months) and look around and I see a Z driving in traffic - of course stock as far as I can tell visually

I flash my brights, but most of them don't look over. The majority of 350z owners are a bunch of old geisers, or OLD *** woman. I think it's BS but oh well. You see most sports cars in FL are infested with 60+ yr old retired people, but i'm cool with that.

I can even tell Z's and G's apart. Z's have that higher pitch, midrange note with a WOT gurgle. The G's have a more of a chorus sound, but at WOT it's pushing air so the note is lower.
9 times out of 10 I can identify the Z amongst all other VQ based Nissans. I guess I'm more an audiophile than I thought.

When I first got the car I used to wave or acknowledge all models of the Z car, but after an extremely low response rate I gave up. Some of the 350z owners just look at me in disgust, like they're the only ones that are suppose to have one or is there a special Z wave I don't know about? haha
I know it is not a big deal but with the history of this car, I was expecting greater comradery(sp?).
A guy at my job is cool about it though,we always wave when we pass one another and park beside each other from time to time.
Another car community that seems to have a pretty strong brotherhood is the Integra Type-R community. You always get aknowledgement from other Type-R owners no matter the age.
