Default auto to manual swap?

how much for an auto to manual swap? anybody done it? I know you would need cluster, trans, rear axle assy, clutch, flywheel, and...what else? I know that it would be very expensive but, just a thought.

I would bet $.02 that its waaay more trouble than its worth. I seem to remember this question coming up all the time with the 90-96 300zx's and the reply was always that it was not worth it.

You'd be better off doing a swap at a Nissan dealer for a 6 speed Z....The cost of even ATTEMPTING to do this would be astronomical and you'd have big time problems when you eventually sold it or traded it in....as the VIN# would show it to be a Auto Tranny car.

Question: WHY did you even get an auto tranny Z to begin with??

Yeah man, just trade the entire car. It's not a Mustang, heh.

You'd need to wait at least five years before it even really became cost feasible to do it. And with that much time behind you it will make any "issues" that yuo have after the swap not seem so bad.

I agree with the others very expensive. Also, you'd have to change the ECU (and probably wiring too).

I will do it for $19.95 plus shipping.

Seriously, it is more problems than it is worth.
