Default I just noticed....

There's no pneumatic shocks for holding up the hood? I hate the stick thing!

Consider it to be one less thing to crap out on you. Pneumatic hood shocks tend to fail often in my experience.

I agree. I spent $89 x 3 for my two Nissans. I was major unhappy. The old prop worked just fine. Stick them on a Lexus I say, but leave them off value cars.

speaking of lexus and hood props. My GS4 doesn't even have a LIGHT under the hood

How cocky can Lexus be to think that the car would never need a light under the hood? As a matter of fact, my buddy's honda doesn't have one, nor the Z.

What gives? What ever happened to the shade tree mechanic? Now i have to work on the car with a flashlogh around my head

get a droplight and put it in a hole..problem solved..also the hood spring thing...remember the old muscle cars of the 70s and those ugly spring held hoods?....lets try to stay away from that

the best looking hood prop would be if it was a clam shell version. I love the look of calm sheel hoods. Must be the racer in me.
