Default should I order?

Ok, i need some opinions. I been looking for a 6spd enthu at the local dealerships for a few weeks now. Now...no dealer has a 6spd enthu in stock. All they have are auto enthus. The only 6spd they have are base model(which i don't want) or the touring(which i can't afford). Should i think about ordering one or just wait it out? I'm afraid of ordering one because I don't want to get stuck with paying msrp. Has anyone out there ordered a Z and still got a great deal on it? By great deal..i mean $500-$750 over invoice.

Look at dealerships in other cities around you, unless you really want to order from that dealership.

Then you'd just have to wait it out. That's what i did.

Did you have them do a search of all dealerships in a 500 or so mile radius? You are not the only one that struggled to find a 6 speed Enthusiast. I had to find my own and tell the dealer to go get it for me. Your best bet is to use the Nissan website and start checking out dealer's inventory online. If you find one tell your local dealer and ask if they can get it or if it is close go check it out yourself. You are not going to get a great deal on cars not on that dealers lot.

^^ Yes yes. Good sound advice. Use nissan's webpage and search all dealers near you for the car you are looking for.

Keep looking. Don't settle on something you don't want. Get EXACTLY what you want.

^^ Even more sound advice!! When I was first looking, I settled for a base (not caring about the wheels, the spoiler, the VDC, etc. Then my brother told me when buying something you want, especially of this scale, don't settle for something you won't be happy with. Nail it down to the trim, color, etc. He gave the example of me driving up to a "better" Z with the options (including color) I wanted and me regretting not getting what I wanted. So I ponied up the bucks and got a Performance one in Daytona Blue instead. I'm a happy camper now.
