Default Is this normal?

So I have been driving my new Z a lot and have been following the break-in period. I have about 450 miles on it right now. There is a funny noise when I release the clutch from a stop. I rev it up alittle bit and release the clutch at a normal speed for a good smooth start. While I am releasing the clutch there is a noise coming from the rearend or maybe underneath me. It sounds really weird kinda like metal vibrating and slapping something, it goes du du du du du(sorry it is a hard noise to explain). Is this normal during break-in or should I go see the dealer? And it is not the engine bogging.

Ok, so after researching I think it might be the rear axles. I think others have had this same problem. I guess I will go to the dealer.

Ok, most people that have the noise in the axles say it is more of a clicking sound. To me it doesnt sound exactly like clicking but something vibrating and hitting something. Has anyone experienced this?

The 'duh-duh-duh' noise when moving off from stand-still is quite common on 350Z's in the UK. It's generally regarded as a 'characteristic' rather than a fault and it does get less noticable with mileage.

Yeah, I took it to the dealer today and a guy drove it and said that it sounds like the transmission. He told me to get it broken-in and if it still does it by my first oil change, then they would put it in and check it out completely.

Yeah it sounds like normal driveline noise to me. The 350Z is far from the smoothest shifting or quietest drivelines. I like it though.
